Award Dinner Honors Chauffeur
On January 28th, Concorde Worldwide presented the 2016 Chauffeur of the Year award to Chris DiTursi. Every year the company announces the winner during the Employee Appreciation Dinner held at the Battleground Country Club, Manalapan, NJ. Now in its 19th year, the award recognizes one elite chauffeur.
Chris came on board in March 2016. He brought with him eight years of experience as a chauffeur in his previous job. In less than one month of starting, he received several commendations from clients. One passenger stated, “Thank you for the excellent job! Our driver was fantastic and my family felt very at ease. Words cannot express my gratitude.” Another V.I.P. client wrote, “The chauffeur was beyond excellent!”
Although Chris is a very quiet individual, he always treats clients and fellow employees with respect, courtesy and professionalism. Time and time again he has proven to be a huge asset to Dispatch. Chris never questions or refuses a trip and is always available to take the last one to help out.
Concorde Worldwide has a top chauffeur training program that includes three days of classroom and on-the-road training. “Chauffeurs are generally the first person the client will meet face-to-face from the company,” says Shady Azer, V.P. of Operations. “With specialized training, knowledge, and customer service skills, chauffeurs play a crucial part to creating a life-long client.”
Chauffeurs are required to meet specific criteria to be nominated for Chauffeur of the Year. They must have exceptional customer service etiquette with client commendations. Additionally chauffeurs must have a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), outstanding driving and safety record. Moreover, they must have an excellent work relationship with dispatchers and employees. The management team, dispatch and others that work closely with the chauffeurs vote. Chris exceeded all of the criteria outlined.
Concorde Worldwide awarded Chris with a plaque for his accomplishment. He will enjoy a two-night stay in either New York or Philadelphia; city of his choice. In addition, Chris will receive chauffeured transportation to and from his five-star hotel. A fabulous dinner for two reserved at one of the city’s finest restaurants. Please join us as we congratulate Chris on his award.
