Employee Appreciation Night
On Saturday, January 27th, Concorde Worldwide presented the 2017 Chauffeur & Employee of the Year Awards. The company hosted it’s annual Employee Recognition Dinner at the Battleground Country Club, Manalapan, NJ.
Chauffeur of the Year
The evening’s first award recognized one elite chauffeur. The company’s Manager of Chauffeur Operations, Marion Pattberg, presented the Chauffeur of the Year to Gary Phillips. “With his expertise in handling our specialty vehicles, Gary has proven to be a great asset,” stated Pattberg. Phillips will be celebrating his five year anniversary with Concorde in April. Chauffeurs are required to meet specific criteria to be nominated for Chauffeur of the Year. For example, they must have exceptional customer service etiquette with client commendations. In addition, they are required to have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and outstanding driving and safety skills. Chauffeurs must also have exceptional on-time performance. The management team, dispatch and others that work closely with the chauffeurs cast their votes.
Employee of the Year
In December, the department supervisors consider the possible candidates that meet the qualities and characteristics of an Employee of the Year. For example, the individual should have excellent customer service skills, outstanding work ethics and ability to problem solve. They must take initiative to learn new tasks and responsibilities above and beyond their own job description. Once the nominees are selected, it is the employees who cast their votes.
This year the four nominees were: Bob DiCicco, Mark Rice, Sally Rodrigues and Stephanie
Polukort. Deanna Reynolds, Meeting & Conference Supervisor, presented Employee of the Year to reservationist, Sally Rodrigues. “How often can any company be as fortunate as Concorde to have an employee who is as committed and dedicated to their company
as Sally”, stated Reynolds. Rodrigues is reaching a 12 year anniversary with Concorde Worldwide.
The Award Program
In addition to receiving a plaque, each winner will be selecting a two-night stay in the city of their choice: New York City or Philadelphia. Concorde Worldwide will include chauffeured transportation and dinner for two.
