LaGuardia Airport Major Reconstruction ‘s Curbside Pickup
LaGuardia Airport major reconstruction is underway. Travelers know the mess that encompasses the terminals, transfers, runways as well as the roads around it. The project is designed to tear down and rebuild the entire main Terminal B which was dedicated in 1964. Terminal B serves most of the airport’s scheduled domestic airlines and over 13 million passengers per year. The new LaGuardia airport will include a unified terminal that will be 600 feet closer to Grand Central Parkway. With this in mind, it will create 240 percent more space for runways and flight operations. In the long run, it will provide three times as many security gates in addition to pedestrian bridges to gates.
LaGuardia Curbside Pickup for Passengers
In the meantime, the LaGuardia airport major reconstruction is also impacting car service as well. As a result, there are many restrictions for picking up and meeting passengers at baggage claim. Therefore, Concorde Worldwide asks clients to contact the chauffeur or dispatch department (732.577.0023) upon arrival to confirm curbside pickup location.
As a result of reconstruction, LGA will be a state-of-the-art terminal facility that will improve the traveler’s experience. Here are a few other highlights of the project:
High-speed ferry service for boats to dock at existing Marine Terminal
Pedestrian bridges for passenger access
State of the art security system 3 times larger then the current operation
Increased space for retail shops and boutique hotel
